Job Title: Facility Associate (part-time-32 hours/week)

Reports To: Director

Job Summary: Under supervision of the Director at Nazareth Home and according to established practices and procedures, and performs general maintenance work. May require evening or weekend work.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Performs a variety of routine and semiskilled tasks involving general maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Assures that sufficient supplies and equipment are available to meet the needs of the house.
  • Performing various repairs; minor paint jobs, plumbing repairs.
  • Sets up and removes folding tables and chairs to assist at community events.
  • Moves objects (example: stoves, refrigerators, coolers, furniture, etc.) weighing up to 150 lbs. using a hand truck or pulley.
  • Responsible for seasonal duties such as; lawn and yard maintenance and snow removal.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 3-5 years experience in maintenance
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying items up to approximately 20 lbs. or more
  • Traveling will be required to perform assigned tasks; ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required

 


 

NAZARETH HOME JOB POSTING

Job Title: Housekeeper/Transportation (full time)

Reports To: Director

Job Summary: Under supervision of the Director at the Nazareth Home and according to established practices and procedures, performs basic housekeeping duties and provides transportation for the children of Nazareth Home. May require evening or weekend work.

Principal Accountabilities:

Housekeeper:

  • Clean bedrooms, playrooms, living room, restrooms, hallways, office, basement stairways, and other work spaces while following health and safety standards of the home.
  • Responsible for all incoming donations, sorting, stocking and inventory.
  • Order, replenish and inventory all household supplies and children items.
  • Responsible for maintaining clothing, shoes and coats for each new child. Make sure each child has season appropriate clothing, school clothing (when applicable), pajamas, underwear, holiday outfits, coats, hats, gloves, scarf, boots, shoes, backpack and/or diaper bag.
  • Remove debris from yard, porch, driveways and garage.
  • Disinfect children’s toys and equipment.

 

Transportation:

  • Provides transportation for child visitations on an as needed basis.
  • Performs routine assessments; maintains routine documentation.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying items up to approximately 20 lbs. or more
  • Traveling will be required to perform assigned tasks; ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required

 


 

NAZARETH HOME JOB POSTING

Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator (part time-16 hours/week)

Reports To: Director

Job Summary: Under supervision of the Director at the Nazareth Home and according to established practices and procedures, performs basic administrative and office duties while training and scheduling volunteers and interns to assist in rendering care and comfort to the children of Nazareth Home. May require evening or weekend work.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining Nazareth Home volunteers, students and interns.
  • Determining the needs for volunteers, a plan for recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers, as well as training for others working with these volunteers
  • Manage orientations and required background forms, fingerprinting and TB tests.
  • Retaining of volunteers through showing appreciation during Volunteer Appreciation week; one-on-one attention during shifts.
  • Complete evaluations/surveys after orientation and training programs.
  • Help develop the talents of professional volunteers who can engage in marketing, fundraising, and strategic planning advice on the Nazareth Home Advisory Council
  • Recruit more volunteers and better align volunteers with their interests, gifts and talents to help sustain our ministry into the future.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Computer skills required
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying items up to approximately 20 lbs. or more
  • Traveling may be required to perform assigned tasks; ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required
